
DENTAL HEALTH CARE INTERNSHIP.
You will be assisting a team made up of dental care professionals and treats a wide range of patients, from children to the elderly. Examining teeth and diagnosing patients' dental conditions, using tools such as X-rays; Assessing treatment options and agreeing treatment plans with patients; carrying out agreed clinical treatments, such as treating gum disease, restoring teeth affected by decay. Etc.
The volunteer intern dental assistant will be asked to perform duties consistent with their training and experience under the direct supervision of a dentist. Working conditions are modest. Dentists work in facilities that include modern dental chairs, full operation and sterilization function, x-ray capabilities, and limited lab facilities. Local dental assistants work chair side and provide translation assistance.
Group volunteers are also welcome to the project to provide a combination of volunteering in a stationary or mobile dental clinic setting along with the opportunity to trek or sightsee in various parts of the country.
Our dental health care program is available for college, under graduate and recent graduate students taking a gap year or career break or for those professional anxious in sharing their professional knowledge, experience, and expertise.
