Community Volunteers

Community volunteers are those people who live in the community and spend time volunteering with the people we support on a one-on-one basis, with a few people, and/or with large groups of people. Some of the things they do include teaching creation of wood works, helping with work objectives and goals, spending leisure time, dining out, shopping, picnicking, etc., and sometimes helping with office work.
Student volunteers are those students who spend time volunteering at under a Service-learning program. This gives students the opportunity to learn more about what goes on in the communities and some of the challenges faced by the under privileged and thereby earn some school credits needed to graduate. Student volunteers usually spend a semester or two volunteering for few hours. They assist the people we support with work objectives, such as shredding paper, crushing paper, making logo buttons, packaging flatware, learning other skills from an organization
